Apache NetBeans is much more than a text editor. It highlights source code syntactically and semantically, lets you easily refactor code, with a range of handy and powerful tools.
Apache NetBeans provides editors, wizards, and templates to help you create applications in Java, PHP and many other languages.

To run the samples, you must have the JDK 8 software. Since the samples include the corresponding NetBeans projects files, using the NetBeans IDE is the simplest way to run the sample applications. However, you can also run them using the Ant utility, Eclipse, or IntelliJ IDEA. See below for more information. Probably not helpful, but also see NetBeans 8.2 does not open on Mac OS. 3 Could you update your question with a screen shot showing exactly where you get the 'No JDK found' error? – skomisa Sep 10 '20 at 19:06.
Apache NetBeans can be installed on all operating systems that support Java, i.e, Windows, Linux, Mac OSX and BSD. Write Once, Run Anywhere, applies to NetBeans too.
